Batman The Dark Knight
Batman is one of the favourite character of DC Comics, co-created by Bob Kane and Bill Finger.
Batman first appeared in Detective Comics #27 in may 1939.
Bruce Wayne, being a multi-billionaire industrialist, playboy and philanthropist, witnessed the murder of his parents in his childhood. He trained himself to physical and intellectual perfection and hide himself behind a bat-themed costume to fight crime.
Batman operates in the fictional Gotham City, which many people would imagine it being the dark side of New York City.
Batman has many assisting characters beside him, including his butler Alfred Pennyworth, and his sidekick Robin.
Batman faces a lot of villians including the famous Joker, Harvey Two Face, Scarecrow, Mr Freeze, Poison Ivy, the Penguin etc. However, it is worth noting that Batman does not have any superpower. He uses his intelligence and detective skills along with science and technology to fight crime.
In the late 1960 Batman was introduced to the public in a TV series, and then was made into a series of four movies, including Batman, Batman Returns, Batman Forever, and Batman and Robin starting 1989.
Another highlight was the "Batman Begins" movie in 2005 and "The Dark Knight" in 2008. The Dark Knight set the record for the highest grossing opening weekend of all time in the U.S., pulling in approximately $158.4 million, and became the fastest film to reach the $400 million mark in the history of American cinema (eighteenth day of release).
